Doug Henwood tells us, Occupy Wall Street at 10: It Was Annoying, But It Changed the World.

He got the first part right: Occupy Wall Street was annoying. But it certainly didn’t change the world. It did help “change the left” however. Thanks in no small part to leftists like Doug Henwood, Occupy almost immediately shifted its focus from the Wall Street bailouts to left-wing identity politics.

Just look at the picture Jacobin chose to use. What does it tell you that Occupy and Goldman Sachs both proudly fly rainbow flags?

It is hardly a coincidence that Wall Street’s first attack on the Occupy protests was to call them “anti-semitic.”

Not to worry, a new group sprang up: Occupy Judaism. Occupy Judaism: “Bringing the Jews to Occupy Wall Street. Bringing Occupy Wall Street to the Jews.” Official Jewish Rabbis were assigned to Occupy Wall Street protests to police their discourse for “anti-semitism.” They were instructed to not do certain protests on certain Jewish holidays. Occupy Judaism Rabbis were quick to denounce the “Nazi swastikas, SS, KKK symbols, and other inflammatory remarks” that were mysteriously spray painted on some park benches near the protests, then reported in the media as if it was done by Occupy Wall Streeters. Occupy Judaism denounced anti-Wall Street Facebook pages with “anti-semitic cartoons” and wrote the Occupy Wall Street “Official Statement Against Anti-Semitism.”

Within a few days, professional CPUSA activists were engaging in the familiar cult rituals, such as having a speaker chant a slogan, then the circle around him repeating the chant, then the circle beyond them repeating the chant. The “Progressive Stack” system was set up for speakers. Who got to speak first was based strictly on their position in the Hierarchy of Oppression. So, all of the “white males” there to speak about the Wall Street bailouts were told to get to the back of the line, as BIPOC Disabled Transwomen of Color were given the top spot to discuss the issues that matter to BIPOC Disabled Transwomen of Color, such as pressuring Goldman Sachs to hire more BIPOC Disabled Transwomen of Color.

We again see this exact phenomenon happen to the Bernie Sanders campaign. Sanders’ 2016 campaign was focused on the economic issues of the working class, and that campaign resonated with working class voters in the rural heartland and the Rust Belt. Sanders specifically avoided the “Social Justice” topics so favored on elite university campuses.

But, as with Occupy Wall Street, the Left quickly stepped in to draw the focus away from the economy and toward “wokeness.”

For years, polling data has been telling us very clearly that the vast majority of the public is to the left of the status quo on matters of economics and to its right on matters of culture. The Left is incapable of absorbing this truth, because to do so would mean genuinely putting the will of the actually existing American working class first—instead of trying to ride them to power in the interest of waging a vindictive culture war. As an old-fashioned social democrat who relentlessly hammered the importance of taking on Wall Street, promised greater infrastructure spending, opposed wasteful military interventions, and offered refreshing skepticism of both identity poli­tics and free trade agreements, the Bernie of 2016 still had the qualities that enabled him to appeal to constituencies beyond the activist Left. Bernie 2020, inextricably linked to this increasingly domineering ac­tivist Left, atro­phied votes because of it.

Elizabeth Warren, originally appointed as a “watchdog” for the Wall Street bailouts, leveraged her new public profile for a political career. But instead of the populist rhetoric she used as the Bailout Watchdog, Elizabeth Warren’s political career has been based solely on “Wokeness,” even introducing the term “Latinx” to a bemused public.

Bernie Sanders, in his 2020 campaign, chose to focus on Elizabeth Warren’s “wokeness” issues, which turned off the very rust belt and heartland working class voters that had made his appeal so widespread. This wasn’t an “accident” – “Wokeness,” like the CIA’s Congress of Cultural Freedom, and CIA asset Gloria Steinem’s feminism during the Cold War, is a “leftism” meant to appeal to a multi-racial set of upper middle class college students, and to turn off the working class in the rural heartland and rust belt, leaving them to have no economic champions, but instead given the consolation prize of not being called “racist” by a conservative Republican who will nevertheless offshore even more of their jobs.

This is by design; Amazon uses a map of “diversity” in their warehouses to prevent unionization. “Wokeness” is a tool of Capital to change the subject anytime substantive economic issues come up, hence, why LGBT Pride Parades are lavishly funded by all of the major Wall Street banks: BofA, JP Morgan, Citi.

Observing who runs the left – and who funds the left – reveals that it is a product of the Elites, the Owners, the Rulers, the Bourgeoisie. And the modern Left has a very, er, personal way of exploiting the workers.

[Doug] Henwood, a rich white man in his 60s, is by far one of the most “woke” people on the American left. Henwood and his wife, Liza Featherstone, are staunch advocates of combining socialist ideas with “sex workers rights,” transgenderism, infantile sexuality, anarchist paramilitary violence, white privilege theory and open borders.

They have been important voices in pushing the Bernie Sanders campaign away from its bread and butter working class appeals that led to a populist insurrection in 2016 to the identity-politics Park Slope circus that will doom it to Corbyn’s fate in 2020.

Henwood is also listed on the Shitty Media Men List with the non-descriptive accusation of “harassment.”

Sources tell us that Henwood’s transformation from an “old school” socialist to a virulent liberal maximalist coincides with his appearance on this list, for which he has not suffered, unlike fellow Jacobin, The Nation and New Republic contributors and columnists. Like with Bernstein, the rules don’t seem to apply as long as you are furthering the “woke” libertarianization of the left.

Interviews with individuals familiar with Henwood conducted by National Justice turned up claims of sending BDSM pictures to young women the fabulously wealthy couple have employed at their home, wild swinger parties featuring wife-sharing and cuckoldry, heavy use of prostitutes and other anti-social behaviors. It must be stressed that not all of these claims have been independently verified.

So, again, we have a rich couple employing servants that they then sexually harass, and the “use” of prostitutes. These people are operators at the highest levels of the Democratic party, posture as “Marxists” and “for the working class” but in actuality push a brand of “Social Justice Warriorism” that is toxic to the actually existing working class – instead, this “SJW” is the priority of the wealthiest elites and their handmaidens from elite universities, NGO’s and the State Department.

It is rich irony that two men who have made names for themselves calling everyone racist and misogynist have faced serious accusations themselves. The fact that they have floated by under the radar shows that the leftists who have turned sexual harassment into the big crusade of 2017-18 are not very principled at all.

A Left led by wealthy old men pushing for the legalization of prostitution means a Left that is literally making it easier for rich old men to screw poor young women. They are also trying to mainstream pedophilia and lower the age of consent.

This is nothing new; fashionable left-wing “liberated” culture has been a mainstay of European nouveau riche for hundreds of years, along with the sex trafficking and prostitution rings.

And the spook connections, too.

The Left tells you that your sisters and daughters won’t be treated by their class as badly as they have been in the past:

They will treat their “sex workers” to better housing and medical care. But they still are going to piss all over them, as it’s been established that Kink Belongs At Pride.
