From Carroll Quigley, Tragedy and Hope: A History of the World in Our Time”1966:

The Money Power Seeks to Create a World System of Financial Control in Private Hands Able to Dominate Every Nation on Earth:

The powers of financial capitalism had another far-reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent private meetings and conferences. The apex of the system was to be the Bank for International Settlements in Basle, Switzerland, a private bank owned and controlled by the world’s central banks which were themselves private corporations.

Each central bank, in the hands of men like Montagu Norman of the Bank of England, Benjamin Strong of the New York Federal Reserve Bank, Charles Rist of the Bank of France, and Hjalmar Schacht of the Reichsbank, sought to dominate its government by its ability to control Treasury loans, to manipulate foreign exchanges, to influence the level of economic activity in the country, and to influence cooperative politicians by subsequent economic rewards in the business world.

(pgs. 242-243)

It must not be felt that these heads of the world’s chief central banks were themselves substantive powers in world finance. They were not. Rather, they were the technicians and agents of the dominant investment bankers of their own countries, who had raised them up and were perfectly capable of throwing them down. The substantive financial powers of the world were in the hands of these investment bankers (also called “international” or “merchant” bankers) who remained largely behind the scenes in their own unincorporated private banks.

These formed a system of international cooperation and national dominance which was more private, more powerful, and more secret than that of their agents in the central banks. This dominance of investment bankers was based on their control over the flows of credit and investment funds in their own countries and throughout the world. They could dominate the financial and industrial systems of their own countries by their influence over the flow of current funds through bank loans, the discount rate, and the re-discounting of commercial debts; they could dominate governments by their control over current government loans and the play of the international exchanges.

Almost all of this power was exercised by the personal influence and prestige of men who had demonstrated their ability in the past to bring off successful financial coupe, to keep their word, to remain cool in a crisis, and to share their winning opportunities with their associates.

(pg. 245)

These [international] organizations have some of the aspects of sovereignty from the fact that their decisions do not have to be unanimous, are binding on states and on citizens who have not agreed to them, and can he financed by funds that may be levied without current consent of the persons being taxed. On the whole, the supranational aspects of these institutions will be strengthened in the future from provisions in the treaties themselves. All this is very relevant to the remarks in the last chapter on the disintegration of the modern, unified sovereign state and the redistribution of its powers to multilevel hierarchical structures remotely resembling the structure of the Holy Roman Empire in the late medieval period. (pg. 930)

From PresentWitness:

The most important framing that you need to have right now is that we are living through the consequences of what happens when corporations and international influence groups supplant national governments.

This takeover was primarily accomplished though lobbying and through the establishment of a revolving door between corporations and governments. You cannot look at Google, Raytheon, or Tesla as separate entities from the US Government.

We’re so deep into this game that it doesn’t even stop at national governments. National governments are dominated by international influence groups that control populations through central banks and trade agreements. There is probably more to this angle, but I’ll leave it there.

Let’s start with the healthcare industry. The healthcare industry supplanted the US Government with the passage of Obamacare. Obamacare was a law that mandated citizens, companies, and the USG pay healthcare, insurance, and pharmaceutical corporations every month.

Because the healthcare industry exists above the government, it can seize tax dollars to fund its own research and development (NIH). It can decide to pursue extremely dangerous and unethical research. It can even use the gov to obscure its culpability for mistakes or intentions.

The military industrial sector has also supplanted national governments, and has access to the same level of extra-legal abilities that the healthcare industry has. They seize your tax dollars in order to advance their own agenda. And it isn’t just about maximizing profits.

What do you think the recent UFO phenomena is? It is very clearly a marketing campaign organized by the military industrial sector to justify the seizure of billions of dollars in taxpayer money. It also creates a ‘free option’ for the foundation of a global military alliance.

Does that sound a little bit like the ‘Green New Deal’? All of these movements are to create entities that are larger than governments. They are control structures being built on top of and out of governments in the same way that the Catholic Church was supplanted by governments.

The purpose of the ‘green energy movement’ is to globalize energy supply chains in order to permanently disable national sovereignty. Tesla received 520 million in tax credits last quarter and ‘made’ 438 million. We are literally subsidizing the destruction of our own countries.

I can go on and analyze every single industry under this lens, but I will spare you. The takeaway here is that the modern world is actively being reshaped in the image of global capital mediated by powerful influence groups that have supplanted nation-states.

The means by which they get to their ultimate goal will continue to seem bizarre, disjointed, and illogical because the information structures that you are accustomed to use to interpret the world around you are being actively subverted and repurposed in real time.
