I believe whatever they tell me to believe about Coronavirus & Covid-19. So Trump has Covid-19.
Here’s a thought experiment, that will reveal to yourself, and others if you choose to reveal your answer, how you might react to the Coronavirus Phenomenon of 2020.
The 2001 anthrax attacks … occurred in the United States over the course of several weeks beginning on September 18, 2001, one week after the September 11 terrorist attacks. Letters containing anthrax spores were mailed to several news media offices and to Democratic Senators Tom Daschle and Patrick Leahy, killing five people and infecting 17 others.
The anthrax letters arrived on September 18.
The thought experiment:
If you were asked to make the case that the Anthrax attacks were planned and carried out AFTER, not BEFORE, the 9/11 terrorist attacks, how would make the case? Could you make it believable?
The 2020 Coronavirus Phenomenon began in Wuhan, China. The first international epidemics hit Italy, and the government of Iran. Numerous high ranking Iranian officials were infected and some died.
The epidemic hit Wuhan in the middle of a Western-backed “Color Revolution” in Hong Kong, which had seen “civil unrest” and “peaceful protests” for over a month. Within days, the Hong Kong protests ended due to the threat of Coronavirus infection.
The administration stopped direct flights to and from China, a measure attacked by the opposition party as “racist.” Political figures make ostentatious displays of non-chalance by doing public appearances in Chinatown and did television appearances hugging Chinese people to prove they weren’t racist.
At some point in the next month, the narrative changed. Various government officials and high-level political players, including a Washington DC meeting of Israel lobbyists, came down with Coronavirus infections. The media played up the disease with celebrity news anchors such as Chris Cuomo of CNN faking a Coronavirus infection as part of a week long “reality TV” style “news” program.
Similarly, in 2001, New York Times reporter Judith Miller claimed to receive anthrax in the mail, and after a week or so doing media appearances blaming the attacks on various enemies of Israel, the incident was determined to be “a copycat hoax letter containing harmless white powder.”
2020 had global online media properties like Reddit.com spammed with blurry aerial pictures said to be “mass graves” of “coronavirus victims,” their corpses dumped on the streets from overflowing hospitals.
In 2003, various factions in the government and the media were still claiming that the Anthrax letters had come from Saddam Hussein, and in the run up to the attack on Iraq, Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge went on TV to tell Americans that they could protect themselves from biological and chemical attacks by duct-taping plastic sheets over their windows – to keep the gas and the germs out.
When some “liberal Democrats” mocked the suggestions from the Department of Homeland Security and said the government was engaging in scaremongering, the conservative Republicans accused them of “playing politics” and reminded everyone of the 9/11 attacks.
“Obviously, I think there’s been some political belittling of duct tape,” he said, referring to the suggestion Americans buy plastic sheeting and tape to seal a safe “internal room” in their homes from a biological or chemical attack.
“But the Centers for Disease Control and professionals will tell you that duct tape and a secure room and a couple of gallons of water to tide you over for a day or two is precisely what you might have to do in the event something occurs,” Ridge said. “I don’t worry so much about the negative commentary from elected officials because I think most Americans get it.
In fact, Mike Pence, now Trump’s Vice President, then a Congressman from Indiana, faked an Anthrax Attack on his own office, then used it to grandstand on Television about how he was “tough on terrorism” and how we had to “stand by Israel” and attack Iraq, because maybe Saddam Hussein did 9/11 along with Osama Bin Laden.
That this guy is Vice President after such a long career of self-discrediting bullshit is somewhat astonishing, but it really shows how power works in America.
Let me be clear: this author is not telling readers that there is a direct parallel between, say, the government telling Americans to duct tape plastic sheets over their windows to protect themselves from Saddam Hussein’s chemical and biological weapons, back in 2003, and how in 2020 the government was telling people that they need to wear masks even while walking in the park to protect themselves from a deadly pandemic released by the Chinese Communist Party.
I’m trusting my readers to infer that for themselves.
