The progressives in general, and celebrity leftists like Bernie Sanders supporter (and anti-war activist) Jimmy Dore are complaining that Trump is “out-lefting the Democrats.”
Trump – and Mitt Romney – has a very simple immediate response to the economic crisis caused by the Corona virus: Send a $1,000 check to every American citizen on April 2.
This is far better than sending checks to Wall Street bankers, because they won’t lend the money to people; they will simply do what they did last time and “invest” the money in more financial assets. They don’t want to lend because everyone is already in debt and can’t pay their debts back.
This causes a cash crunch. Trump, and the Republicans, have the right idea: “print” some cash and send it to Americans, who will then go out and spend it on goods and services they need, thus helping soften the economic blow.
Democrats are blocking this, for no other reason then they don’t want the Republicans to score a populist victory. Instead, the Democrats are trying to get into the good graces of the anti-populist financial sector – and the Wall Street Journal (((editorial board))) – so they can line up the bribes for the coming elections.
Now is the time for the GOP to go hard core populist, nationalist, and start writing checks to Americans. Call it a “dividend” – after all, we are the owners of the country, and since our tax money is going to “bail out” the entire Fortune 500 and the entire financial system – we should get a cut.
Writing checks is a step in the right direction.
Not to mention – when the Indian tribes got their casinos, they realized that the more Indians in the tribe, the smaller the piece of the pie per Indian. So, that gave the Indian tribes a financial incentive to keep people from all of a sudden claiming to be Indian to get some of that casino money.
It will work the same for Americans. The fewer immigrants, the bigger our dividend checks.
Shut the border and start writing checks, Republicans. If you can’t do that – why should anyone vote for you? “Capitalism?” “Free markets?” “Values?” Sorry, keep your religion to yourself.
The nationalist case for UBI
1. Elimination of much of the parasitic, self-serving, pro-system welfare bureaucracy
2. Welfare babies would become financial burdens rather than assets, reducing the birth-rates of single mothers and the underclass
3. More time and energy to spend with family, friends and community while reducing financial and work-related stress, the frequency of affairs and family breakdown, increasing middle-class birth-rates and social capital
4. More time and energy to engage in physical and intellectual development, personal tasks and leisure activities: facilitate more reading, writing, language-learning, music, art, cooking, camping, hiking, gym, martial arts and shooting, encourage the creation of communes and small enterprises
5. People are more likely to discover and be more receptive toward anti-system ideas in their free time than at work
6. Reduce traffic and urban sprawl by undermining the financial incentive to work in the city, encouraging healthier, less expensive, pro-family rural living
7. Increase business costs (more worker turnover, fewer hours worked, less employment, de-stigmatise NEETism, lower human capital, higher wages for undesirable jobs, better conditions) reduce business revenue (price inflation lowers demand and there would be less income for consumerism overall) reduce the production of goods and services (unless there is a huge amount of highly efficient automation in response) and reduce available and potential tax revenue for the system’s destructive policies (all of which is beneficial ecologically)
8. Incentivise economic migrants to leave and disincentivise more from coming by reducing GDP and the range/quality of public services
9. Higher taxes to fund the basic income deter skilled aliens from migrating and encourage their emigration, increasing native predominance and further reducing GDP and tax revenue
10. As taxes increase to fund the basic income, reducing your working hours or quitting altogether to live frugally on UBI becomes a more attractive option, attacking the consumer economy, wasteful government spending and the institution of wage-slavery
11. Harden public attitudes against immigration, soften them toward deportation and incentivise politicians to tighten citizenship requirements
12. Increase social, economic and political autonomy and expression by preventing amoral bosses and pro-system snitches from ruining dissidents financially
13. Disproportionately discourage female labour force participation (especially in less desirable fields of employment) reward housewives for their labour, reduce the burden of non-household labour (time, money and energy) on mothers and increase the financial incentive (+$24,000 for a couple vs +$12,000 as an individual) to pair-up and have children
14. Undermine system brainwashing, improve household finances, lessen the accumulation of debt and strengthen family bonds by reducing university enrolment, promoting renting from relatives and enabling more homeschooling
15. Undermine trade unions and socialist parties by reducing full-time labour force participation, poverty and economic inequality

I agree with nearly all of that, especially 11, 12, 13, 2, 6, 8 and 10.

I’ve updated and improved the list substantially. UBI would be invaluable for dissidents pursuing a passivist strategy. It’s a unique policy, having broad support on the “far-left”, the “far-right”, some in between and in the tech industry.
The minoritarian case for UBI
1. The only class that isn’t being heavily subsidised right now is the native “middle”: UBI changes that dramatically by directing trillions toward natives that would otherwise go to the “high” (bank bailouts, wars, pensions, medical) or the “low” (welfare, housing, education, medical).
2. Elimination of much of the parasitic, inefficient, self-serving pro-system welfare bureaucracy.
3. Welfare babies would become financial burdens rather than assets, reducing the birth-rates of single women in the underclass.
4. Much more time and energy to spend with family, friends and community while reducing financial and work-related stress, the frequency of affairs and family breakdown, increasing native birth-rates and social capital.
5. Much more time and energy for physical/intellectual development, personal tasks, leisure and social activities: more reading, writing, language-learning, music, art, dance, sex, cooking, camping, hiking, travelling, gym, martial arts and shooting.
6. People are far more likely to discover and be receptive toward anti-system ideas in their free time than at work, especially as UBI makes nationalism and paternalism/temperance more necessary and relevant.
7. Encourage the creation of localized communes/cults and small enterprises: smart people will pool their UBI and use it effectively, dumb people will squander it or use it ruinously and rich people have no use for it.
8. Reduce traffic and urban sprawl by lessening the financial incentive to work in cities, encouraging environmentally cleaner, healthier, more walkable, far less expensive (low rent, cheaper goods, less “entertainment”, less need for a car) pro-family rural living.
9. Increase business costs (higher taxes, more worker turnover and replacement/training costs, fewer hours worked, less employment, lower human capital, destigmatise NEETism, more social opportunities outside work, tighter labour markets and more public bargaining power boosts wages and conditions in less desirable jobs) reduce the production of goods and services, reduce business revenue (mild price inflation lowers demand, more unemployment/underemployment means less income for consumerism) and reduce available and potential tax revenue for destructive policies.
10. Incentivise economic migrants to leave and disincentivise more from coming by reducing GDP and the range/quality of public services.
11. Higher taxes to fund UBI deter rootless/alien investors and occupiers from migrating and encourage their emigration, increasing native predominance and further reducing GDP and tax revenue.
12. As taxes increase to fund UBI, reducing your working hours or quitting altogether to live more frugally continually becomes a more attractive option, undermining the consumer economy, alternative government spending, “education” and wage slavery to politically correct organisations.
13. Harden public attitudes against immigration, soften them toward deportation, reduce native “middle” emigration and incentivise politicians to tighten citizenship requirements.
14. Increase social, economic and political autonomy and expression by preventing amoral bosses and pro-system snitches from ruining dissidents financially.
15. Disproportionately discourage female workforce participation (especially in undesirable fields of employment) boost men’s wages, reduce real estate prices, financially reward housewives for their labour, disproportionately lessen the burden of non-household labour (time, energy) on women and raise the financial incentive (+$24,000 for a couple vs +$12,000 single) to pair-up and have children.
16. Undermine system brainwashing, improve household finances, lessen the accumulation of anti-natal debt and strengthen family bonds by reducing university enrolment, promoting renting from relatives, keeping child and elderly care within the family and enabling more homeschooling.
17. Undermine liberal-conservative and socialist parties, trade unions and private charities by reducing full-time labour force participation, disposable income, poverty and economic inequality.

Proof, if t’were needed, that the Democrats have no principles or beliefs, other than Orange Man Bad. American politics is conducted like the Monty Python Argument Clinic. [No, it’s not!]

yes, the other side was planning to crash the economy anyway, but in their zeal to pin the common cold on trump they gave him a get out of jail free card
he can blame the crash on the common cold panic and claim that the markets are reaching “record post corona highs” while black unemployment is reaching “record post corona lows”
still early, but polling suggesting this is helping trump
as to the hoax itself, the only “hotspots” we have are china and iran, italy and spain. for the first 2 cia operatives were spreading disinfo in an attempt to discredit the government (mass graves in iran for instance)
for the second 2 they are counting any death as a corona death and they better start coughing up tens of thousands of extra dead over the next few days or this will have “peaked” and be over
